Fay and I were out in the backyard loading the trailer with branches, limbs, etc to make a dump run. Last fall I had removed what was left of the fence that ran along Memorial Lane and piled the rotting posts in the yard. As I picked up one of the last posts to throw into the trailer, we saw this spotted salamander! I picked him up carefully and we relocated him to a dark, covered spot along an old tree stump.
