For the second day in a row, we were astonished by the small spider webs that carpeted the forest bottom along the Glacial Erratic Trail in the quarry. The dew makes them stand out in the early morning light. Preliminary research suggests that these are funnel webs made by grass spiders, sometimes called funnel weavers, or more properly, Agelenopsis naevia.
